Mental Health
Not every problem is obvious from the outside. Many people suffer from illnesses that cannot be seen. Jacksonville continues to score poorly on mental health measures and substance misuse. The cost of care when it comes to seeking help for mental health has seen challenges as most places don’t accept Medicaid or most insurances. We need to make sure we are there for them with an open mind and open arms.

Access To Help

Many people have issues that are not apparent at first glance. Help needs to be accessible to those seeking it; barriers should not hinder them from getting the assistance they require. When reaching out for help who will be there to grab their hand and provide them the help that they are asking for.

Hospitalization

The majority of mental health hospitalizations in Jacksonville are between the ages of 18 and 21. Many young adults are not receiving the support they require to recover and navigate life’s challenges. By having affordable resources and professionals available to those in need we can get these hospitalization rates down.
