Leaders and advocates for active transportation and greenway and trail development will gather April 1-4 in Jacksonville for the East Coast Greenway Alliance’s second Southeast Greenways & Trails Summit.
 
Registration for the event is open at early bird rates through Jan. 31. Agency and public sector attendees can register for $150, while private sector employees can sign up for $200. The discounted student rate for the event is $65. Click here to register.
 
Highlights of the 2020 Southeast Greenways and Trails Summit will include:

• A dynamic keynote from 8 80 Cities founder Gil Penalosa on Friday, April 3, at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center.
• An opening panel of local Jacksonville leaders entitled “Preservation Project Jacksonville at 20: Activating the Nation’s Largest Urban Park” Thursday, April 2, at the Haskell Building.
• Thirty-plus dynamic breakout sessions, roundtables and more presented by greenway and trail professionals on topics ranging from trail planning and design to funding to partnerships on Friday, April 3, at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center. Click here for full schedule details.
• Nine mobile workshops throughout the First Coast region on Thursday, April 2, with first-hand trail and infrastructure exploration via foot, bicycle, kayak and more. Click here for full schedule details.
• An open streets event, featuring a 5-kilometer run, along the East Coast Greenway in Neptune Beach on Saturday, April 4.
