December 11, 2024
On December 10th, Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI), Downtown Jacksonville’s non-profit Business Improvement District (BID) announced the tenth annual #DTJax Award Winners. Launched in 2015, the #DTJax Awards recognize community leaders, organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs who work to create a vibrant 24-hour, pedestrian-friendly Downtown. Award winners are not only excellent advocates for Downtown, but have also shown their dedication by supporting economic revitalization efforts, creating jobs, operating beloved amenities and maintaining a clean and safe #DTJax.

Friendship Fountain won a 2024 #DTJAX Award for ‘Project of the Year’. Along the Southbank Riverwalk, Friendship Fountain is the center of attention blending historical significance with modern innovation. Its iconic design and enduring appeal make it a beloved landmark in Jacksonville symbolizing both community pride and urban development. Lori Boyer, CEO of Downtown Investment Authority congratulated Daryl Joseph, Directory of Parks, Recreation and Community Services and team for the huge lift in making this a wonderful destination in Downtown Jacksonville.
