The City of Jacksonville, in coordination with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and 4th Circuit State Attorney’s Office, is partnering with the nonprofit Cure Violence to assist in developing community resources to reduce crime and stop violence. Cure Violence stops the spread of violence by using the methods and strategies associated with disease control – detecting and interrupting conflicts, identifying and treating the highest risk individuals, and changing social norms.
Members of the following committees may be in attendance; however, this meeting is NOT a meeting of these bodies. This notice is to ensure the public has notice that members may be in attendance and may speak during open comment periods. This list is not exclusive; rather it is a list of committees whose charges relate to the subject matter of this noticed meeting.
Committees may include the Jacksonville City Council, Jacksonville City Council Task Force on Safety & Crime Reduction, 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, Public Service Grant Council, Safe & Thriving Community Steering Committee.
