Anamaria Contreras
currently serves as the Executive Director of the JAX Chamber Foundation where she drives strategic initiatives, fosters partnerships, and expands workforce and business development programs.
Originally from Colombia, Anamaria moved to the U.S. at 12, learning English in California before relocating with her family to Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and later earned degrees in Communications and Sociology from the University of North Florida. After graduating, she spent time traveling, gaining global perspectives that continue to shape her work in innovation and business development. She also served at the United Nations Information Centre in Bogotá, supporting major international events.
Locally, Anamaria is active in community development programs, especially those supporting the Hispanic community through economic empowerment and small business growth.
