When school is out, summer fun is in! – Monday is the first day of JaxParks’ annual Rec-n-Roll summer program, an initiative that provides free, supervised, recreational and engaging activities for Jacksonville youth throughout the season to minimize the opportunity for violence and crime. Children ages 6 - 17 are invited to enjoy games, activities, sports and more in a safe place throughout weekdays through July 30. Programs are from 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. No registration required. Mr. Garten will construct and reveal his project during our city’s bicentennial year and for the 10th anniversary of the Courthouse building.
