The City of Jacksonville’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department invites the community to Help Shape Jacksonville’s Parks!

In the ongoing effort to assist Duval County residents impacted by Helene and Milton, FEMA personnel will conduct door-to-door outreach efforts in Jacksonville neighborhoods. Starting on Tuesday, October 22, FEMA teams will be on the ground from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m., Mondaythrough Sunday, to help residents with the following:

Spread the Word...Peanut Butter fights hunger! We can do this Duval! Donate unopened jars of peanut butter now through October 31st at a location near you. There are donation drop-off locations throughout the county.

Please keep bringing that peanut butter in! We know donations will be extra appreciated by our community this year.

It’s official! Following the unanimous vote of the National Football League team owners today, the Stadium of the Future will move forward as planned. With today’s vote, it is certain that the Jaguars will thrive in Jacksonville for decades to come, and stadium patrons can expect a world-class experience for both NFL and non-NFL events alike.

Fisher, Goldberg, Peterson, and Weary to be honored on November 1 Luncheon

The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) has announced that $1,016,000 would be awarded to the City of Jacksonville through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) discretionary grant program to implement several “quick-build” roadway safety projects, also known as demonstration projects, or tactical urbanism. The competitive grant program was established through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) to fund transportation-related planning, demonstration, and construction projects aimed at preventing roadway deaths and serious injuries.

Our technical team has been working with their key vendor partners to troubleshoot the network configuration issue identified on Wednesday, September 11. Initial root cause appears to be the failure of a piece of hardware on the network.

The Ethics Commission has a long, distinguished history in the City of Jacksonville of ensuring transparent and open government for the citizens.  Among its many outstanding accomplishments, the Ethics Commission has drafted and implemented the Jacksonville Ethics Code and successfully assisted in the establishment of an independent Office of Ethics, Compliance and Oversight that is primarily responsible for administering the Ethics Code.  Per Chapter 602, Part 9 of the Jacksonville Ordinance Code, the Ethics Commission performs numerous functions, including assisting the Office of Ethics, Compliance and Oversight, and consideration of any potential violation of the Jacksonville Ethics Code.
