The National Weather Service is forecasting dangerously cold temperatures, with wind chills, or “feels like” temperatures in the 20s for this evening. A Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory are in effect for Duval County tonight through tomorrow morning.
 

Chief Kevin Jones, who serves as Jacksonville’s Fire Marshall and leads the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department’s Fire Prevention Division, is retiring after more than 30 years with the department. His last day with JFRD is Friday, January 3, 2025.

On December 10th, Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI), Downtown Jacksonville’s non-profit Business Improvement District (BID) announced the tenth annual #DTJax Award Winners.
