CITY ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO DOWNTOWN TRAFFIC PATTERNS STARTING FEBRUARY 22

February 21, 2025
As part of the Adams & Forsyth Two-Way Mobility Project, there will be upcoming changes to the traffic pattern on both Adams Street and Forsyth Street between Jefferson Street and Liberty Street. This construction, which will facilitate the conversion of both streets into a two-way, single-lane traffic pattern, will be conducted in two phases:

The National Weather Service is forecasting dangerously cold temperatures, with wind chills, or “feels like” temperatures in the 20s for this evening. A Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory are in effect for Duval County tonight through tomorrow morning.
 

CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO HOST THE 33rd ANNUAL WORLD OF NATIONS CELEBRATION

The City of Jacksonville invites residents and visitors alike to experience the 33rd Annual World of Nations Celebration, a premier multicultural festival that showcases the diverse traditions, cuisines, and performances of 35 nations. This year’s event features an expanded footprint, providing attendees with more immersive cultural experiences than ever before.

RESCHEDULED MLK PARADE ON PRESIDENTS DAY, CITY OFFICES AND FACILITIES CLOSED

In observance of Presidents Day, many City government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Additionally, please be advised that the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade, which was rescheduled due to inclement weather in January, will take place on Monday, February 17. It will begin in Lot J at 10:30am and will conclude in Lot Z (view route map). Festivities will continue after the parade until 4pm in Lot Z with music, vendors, and more. The parade is a Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation, Inc. event that the City of Jacksonville is proud to support, and Mayor Deegan is excited to participate in.
