Upgrade Recognizes City’s Continued Strong Fiscal Management

The City of Jacksonville invites residents and visitors to Metropolitan Park (1410 Gator Bowl Blvd. - 32202) for the 26th Annual World of Nations Celebration this weekend. Guests will experience food, art and entertainment offered by 32 countries right here in Jacksonville.
 

In observance of Presidents’ Day, the following city government offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Feb. 19.
 

Each year, our country celebrates Black History Month, an observance recognizing the people and events that exemplify African-American achievement throughout U.S. history. From people including elected officials, educators and activists, to places such as museums and parks, Jacksonville is rich with African-American history.

February has been declared American Heart Month by the American Heart Association. Throughout the observance, citizens are encouraged to adopt a healthier lifestyle by making more heart-healthy choices including increased physical activity and eating a healthy diet.
 

Throughout February, the Senior Services Division will celebrate Black History Month with special programs at senior centers across the city.
