The State of Florida awarded two grants to the City of Jacksonville’s Military Affairs and Veterans Department to further strengthen the city’s strong relationship with the United States Armed Forces.

In celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month, the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will host Game On!, a day to enjoy the outdoors, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Robert F. Kennedy Park (1133 Ionia St. - 32206).

Through a partnership with Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc. (TRLS) and Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps, the City’s Military Affairs and Veterans Department will offer free legal counseling services to veterans and their families.

The Avengers are returning to Jacksonville’s parks! A free screening of “Avengers: Infinity War” (Rated PG-13) will be hosted at two locations:

The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful are partnering with the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5^th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday.
