Pursuant to the requirements of Section 447.403, Florida Statutes, I am calling a public Special Council Meeting for Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers for the City Council to, regarding the collective bargaining impasse between the City of Jacksonville and the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA).

Notice is hereby given that Council Member Bill Bishop, Council Member Robin Lumb, Council Member Greg Anderson and Council Member Lori Boyer, will meet on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., in Conference Room A, City Council Offices, 117 West Duval Street, Suite 425, City Hall at St. James Building, to discuss proposed legislation 2013-761.

Notice is hereby given that Council Members Jim Love will hold a public meeting to discuss the possible movement of the VIETNAM MEMORIAL MARKER(S) & ETERNAL FLAME (presently located at the old Courthouse) to another location and the process used to make the decision.  Attendees may include Council Members Bill Gulliford, Clay Yarborough, and Dr. Johnny Gaffney, Harrison Conyers (COJ / MAVDS),  Adm. Guillory, Department head of COJ Military Affairs, Veterans, and Disabled Services, as well as members and leadership of local veterans’ organizations, representatives from the Mayor’s staff, and other interested parties.
