City Council Lunch & Learn Workshop - Emergency Preparedness

Notice is hereby given that Honorable Lori N. Boyer will host a Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Workshop with the Jacksonville City Council and Council Staff.   The meeting will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Lynwood Roberts Room – located at 117 West Duval Street, 1st Floor - City Hall, St. James Building, Jacksonville, Florida 32202.  

The purpose workshop is to provide insight about the Emergency Preparedness Process for the City of Jacksonville.  The following  matters as well as other appropriate topics dealing with this subject will be discussed:  (1) What is the role of the Jacksonville City Council? (2) Where will the Council be required to report? (3) Who will handle the media updates? (4) WebEOC? (5) Process by which the City of Jacksonville declares a State of Emergency for Federal Emergency Management Assistance (FEMA) reimbursement of funds?

 

Steven Woodard, Director- Emergency Preparedness, Jason Gabriel, General Counsel or their designees will serve as the presenters for this activity.
