About Tara Woods Park

Tara Woods Park is located in the Tara Woods neighborhood of southwest Jacksonville, north of Timuquana Road. The property consists of undeveloped land left by the subdivision’s developer for the eventual creation of a park. The site was donated to the City in 1975. Proper City maintenance of the land proved difficult. In 1981, discussions ensued between the City and neighborhood residents about forming a civic association to take care of the site. Further developments are unknown, but in 2003 the undeveloped property is still part of the City’s park system Additional features:
