About Rondette Park

Rondette Park is located in the east Arlington section of Jacksonville, south of Fort Caroline Road and west of State Road 9A. After Duval County purchased the south ten acres in 1966, the property was eventually developed to provide athletic fields for the area, and opened in 1974 as Arlington Park. The park became home to the Rondette Athletic Association that formed the same year and still exists today. The Association provides youth baseball/softball programs and has been an active partner with the City in maintaining and improving the park over the years. When adjacent property was targeted for private development, area residents Andy and Toni Crawford purchased forty-two acres to preserve the site, which contains Rondette Lake. The Crawfords sold the tract to the City in 2000 for expansion of the park. This property on both sides of Rondette Lake Road remains in a natural, undeveloped state. Additional features:
