The park known as Charles “Boobie” Clark was formerly called Sherwood Forest Playground. This park is named after Jacksonville native Charles E. Clark, who graduated from Bethune Cookman College and went on to play professional football in the National Football League. “Boobie” played fullback for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1972 to 1982. He was named as “ Rookie of the Year “ in 1972 for the NFL. The community center and park meet all of your recreational needs. In addition to outdoor facilities such as ball fields, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts, there are also indoor activities available such as foosball, table games and meeting rooms.
