About Buster Ford Checkerboard Park

In September 1989 the initial portion of the park was purchased `on the courthouse steps` for $881.58. A second portion of the park was purchased from Pearlie R. Graham in May 1995 for $9,000. A third section of the park was reallocated from the Community Development Division to PRE in August 1995. This third section of property was originally purchased by the City from Margarine Cobb in July 1995 for $4,000. Additional features:
