Come out and meet up with career minded spouses. Spend some quality time with a cocktail or mocktail and meet up with other military spouses who are interested in helping you with your career. Bring a resume and tell your story. You never know who you will meet! This event is open to military and Department of Defense spouses. Please RSVP for reservation purposes.

The Southern Women's Show is saluting women veterans and service members all weekend long. Women veterans and service members can visit the Box Office and show their military ID card to receive one free admission. This event features shopping, food, fashion, health, beauty and fun.

 

This conference will discuss moral and soul injury, exposure fatigue, inhumanity strain, on-off duty adjustment, paths to healing and have a firsthand accounts panel. There are 3 tracks:

• Operators: Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue, Military, EMS, Corrections, Dispatchers, Security, FBI, Allied Professionals
• Providers (CEs provided): Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Masters Level Therapists, Chaplains, NPs, VTC Judges, Interns
• Family Members and Community Service Organizations

Bearing the Burden Event Registration

The next Veterans Council of Duval County meeting will be on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019. The meeting will be held at American Legion Post 137 at 7:00 P.M.

Homeless and At-Risk Veterans invited to attend. The Resource Fair provides Homeless Veterans with a safe haven so that they may receive dental and healthcare screenings, food/clothing, haircuts, disability claims assistance, supportive services, and other various types of counseling (mental health, substance abuse, and military sexual trauma).

All Veterans invited to attend. The Homeless Veterans Job Fair is being held Friday, October 11, 2019. This event is a great opportunity for veterans, active duty and transitioning military, reservist, and retired military to connect with employers who are committed to supporting and employing veterans.
 

The Job Fair Prep Day is being held Thursday, October 10, 2019. Prepare for Friday's Job Fair with resume assistance, interview preparation and work clothes.

There will be a Farm Share Food Distribution at the VA Vet Center on October 8th. This event is free and open to the public until supplies last. Please bring bags or containers to help carry multiple bags of food.
