The Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K will be on Saturday, November 9th at the Wounded Warrior Project Headquarters. Veterans carry the hopes and dreams of our nation on their shoulders. They always have. Wounded Warrior Project^® Carry Forward™, delivered by CSX^®, is a new 5K fitness challenge and fundraiser that unites us for one day for one purpose: to honor and support wounded warriors and their families.

This is an opportunity for Human Resource Professional interested in improving and increasing their hiring of military employees. This is event is open to employers only. Come interact with our panelist and discuss your challenges and successes in a "closed door" private setting. There will be a ground-breaking ceremony for the new North Jacksonville Parkway at the intersection of Lannie Road and Ethel Road, adjacent to the entrance of the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

The Military and Veterans Resource Center at the University of North Florida will host a Veterans Day Tribute on Thursday, Nov. 7 to honor and recognize students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members who have served or are still serving in the military.

There will be a free food distribution at the VA Outpatient Clinic. Food is first come, first served. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. Please bring bags or containers to help carry multiple bags of food. This is a free event open to the public while supplies last.
