The season between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day is considered by the National Association of Drug Court Professionals to be one of the deadliest and most dangerous times on America’s roadways due to an increase in impaired driving. 

In observance of Thanksgiving, the following City government offices and facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23.

Spay Jax is a free spay and neuter program funded by the City of Jacksonville in partnership with First Coast No More Homeless Pets.
 

The City’s animal shelter, Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) has maintained status as a no-kill shelter since 2014. With a full-time staff of 52 veterinarians, technicians, trainers, and administrative personnel, ACPS is able to offer a multitude of services including vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and more.
