The City of Jacksonville’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is hiring Lifeguards and Pool Managers for the summer.
The Aquatics Team is focused on hiring Lifeguards for the 2025 Summer Pool Season. Pool Managers are also needed to help maintain successful pool operations. The starting salary for Lifeguards is $15.00 per hour and for Pool Managers it is $16.50 per hour.
This is a great opportunity to serve the community and make some cash! Candidates should be able to satisfactorily complete three prerequisite skills: 1) finish a 200-yard swim; 2) tread water for two minutes without the use of hands; and 3) retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a diving well. Becoming a lifeguard is a wonderful opportunity to learn leadership, responsibility, and teamwork.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old. Training is provided at no cost and is going on now.
