LASALLE STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The City of Jacksonville’s LaSalle Street Drainage Project will mitigate flooding on LaSalle Street and surrounding neighborhoods by upgrading the stormwater collection system.

PROJECT BENEFITS

  • Alleviate flooding on LaSalle Street and in the neighborhood.
  • Alleviate flooding at the intersection of LaSalle Street & San Marco Boulevard.
  • Improve the overall capability of the stormwater system in San Marco.

PHASE I: LASALLE STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Under construction: 
  • Installation of a new pump station
  • Construction of a new outfall
  •  Construction of new pipes and inlets
Projected Timeline: Completed Q1 – 2025.

PHASE II: DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS LASALLE STORMWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM

Construction pending: 
  • Construction of new pipes and inlets
Projected Timeline: 2024 – 2026.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION

  • All work will occur within the City’s right-of-way.
  • Phased construction is scheduled street-by-street and will minimize impacts on the neighborhood
  • Roadways and sidewalks will be temporarily removed. Trees directed impacted by construction may be removed.
  • Driveways may be temporarily unavailable for parking. Access to properties will be maintained.
  • Roads under construction will be closed to traffic other than residents.
