Join the Home Builders Institute on its first quarterly resource day for transitioning military servicemembers, veterans and dependent spouses on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

This free event has been specifically developed for all veterans and transitioning servicemembers to meet with local organizations offering resources and services available within the community. This day will include resources and information on benefits, counseling, education, employment and job training, legal and financial services, small business startup, and much more. Each organization will have the opportunity to talk about what they have to offer and connect with our current and past students. Free Legal Counseling For Veterans

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department, in coordination with Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc. (TRLS) and Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps, will host its free monthly legal consultation for veterans and their families.
 
Three Rivers Legal Services provides assistance with family Law (limited), social security/SSI, discharge review assistance, VA pensions, guardianship for disabled, unfair collections, last will and testament, and various other civil legal services.

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department and Three Rivers Legal Services are dedicated to helping veterans and their families with their legal needs. If you would like to be considered for further assistance, applications for representation will be available.

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department in partnership with the Jacksonville Public Library will be at the Charles Webb Wesconnett Library on the second Tuesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Veterans can come speak with a Veteran Service Officer (VSO) at this local library with no appointment necessary!

Armed Forces Week At MISSION BBQ

Veterans Legal Collaborative (VLC) Brief Counsel And Advice For Veterans

Licensed attorneys will be available to speak one-to-one with Veterans in 20-minute interviews. All veterans are encouraged to bring legal questions in any area of law and to bring any relevant documents pertaining to their matters. Veterans sign up to speak individually with Florida licensed attorneys. Veterans sign up anytime between 11:30 and 1:00 and are encouraged to come early. Services beyond legal consultation are subject to income guidelines. An income-qualifying Veteran may request that his/her legal matter be considered for full legal representation. Information on additional free and low-cost legal services is provided.
