Jacksonville University's Military Appreciation Day will be on Saturday, January 13th.

Boots to Business Reboot is a two-step training program that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources.

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAV), in coordination with the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition (JMVC), will host its free monthly career and employment counseling seminar for veterans and transitioning military members, and their families.

Zahara Veterans Network, Inc.'s 2nd annual holiday social event will feature food, drinks (slushies), craft activities, book readings and more. The facility gives guests access to miniature golf, a playground, and of course, roller-skating fun. This event is open to all military service members raising children: female, male, active duty, reserve, national guard, retiree and veterans.

Tri-Base Onward 2 Opportunity with Blue Star Families invites you to an amazing opportunity for career-minded military families on December 7, 2017. Military families will be able to network with employers in the Jacksonville area.

Licensed attorneys will be available to speak one-to-one with Veterans in 20-minute interviews. All veterans are encouraged to bring legal questions in any area of law and to bring any relevant documents pertaining to their matters. Veterans sign up to speak individually with Florida licensed attorneys. Veterans sign up anytime between 11:30 and 1:00 and are encouraged to come early.

The Job Fair seeks to match area employers with job opportunities for transitioning military, Veteans, and their families. Over 70 Veteran-friendly employers will be present as well as many career assistance agencies.
