The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAV), in coordination with Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc. (TRLS) and Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps, will host its free monthly legal consultation for veterans and their families.

The Home Builders Institute will host a one-time-only three-day OSHA Safety Certification and First Aid/CPR/AED Class from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Tuesday, January 15 through Thursday, January 17, 2019.

The Veterans Council of Duval County will meet Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The meeting will be held at American Legion Post 137 at 7:00 P.M.

The next Vets 4 Vets Quarterly Gathering of Veterans will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019. These gatherings are an opportunity for Veterans (active duty also welcome) from all over Northeast Florida to meet with local veteran serving organizations and resources, listen to speakers, share in camaraderie and work toward supporting each other. This event also includes a free hot lunch! 

The Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic Social Work Services presents a free information session on January 8, 2019 at the Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic. Thomas C. Santoro, Attorney at Law, will present information on power of attorneys, living wills, wills and guardianship. 

Vets on TAP is a group for transitioning military, veterans, spouses, local veterans non-profits, and business leaders in Jacksonville, FL. Networking and education are the focus of the events. There will be a free workshop on VA Home Loans on Tuesday, January 8th.

HerTOTALWellness is a 6-week program that requires 6 hours a week of your time. You will have workshops in financial management, business ownership, employment prep, nutrition, credit repair, workplace wellness, VA Claims, journaling, time management, stress management, health and wellness, and self-awareness. 
 

There will be a fundraiser for the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) Chapter 524 at Topgolf on January 6th. All proceeds from this charity golf scramble will go directly to help emplace a Purple Heart monument in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

Three Rivers Legal Services provides assistance with family Law (limited), social security/SSI, discharge review assistance, VA pensions, guardianship for disabled, unfair collections, last will and testament, and various other civil legal services.
