The Duval Cat Fix Program Has Returned

Each fiscal year, the City of Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) partners with First Coast No More Homeless Pets to fund free spay and neuter surgeries for cats throughout the Jacksonville community.

The Federal Impact Aid Program is designed to assist United States local school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal property, or that have experienced increased expenditures due to the enrollment of federally connected children.  For Duval County Public Schools, both scenarios apply.

The office earned third place out of 70 entries in the Printed Publications - Catalogs/Guides category for its Communications Style Guide.

City of Jacksonville Time Capsule Opened After Nearly Six Decades

A glimpse into Jacksonville’s rich history revealed a very thoughtful and carefully identified collection of items placed and sealed in a copper box nearly 60 years ago. Mayor Lenny Curry and City Council President Aaron Bowman opened the time capsule while an enthusiastic crowd gathered in Council Chambers to marvel and celebrate its contents.
