City's Procurement Division Given "Award of Excellence"

The City of Jacksonville’s Procurement Division was recognized by the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials, Inc. (FAPPO) with the 2019 Award of Excellence in Public Procurement. The City is one of 18 agencies to be recognized this year.
The Award of Excellence in Public Procurement was established by FAPPO to recognize organizational excellence in innovation, professionalism, productivity and leadership attributes in public agencies throughout the state. A trophy was presented to the City of Jacksonville at FAPPO’s 51st Annual Conference and Trade Show on May 15.
The Procurement Division oversees the bidding and purchase process for all City purchases, leases or rentals, including supplies, equipment, services, printing, warehousing, and insurance and surety bonds. The division standardizes specifications and ensures compliance with applicable codes, rules and regulations.
