The Mayor's Hispanic American Advisory Board

Our Mission

The Mayor's Hispanic American Advisory Board was founded in July of 1998 and consists of up to eleven members appointed by the mayor to effectively recognize the concerns, needs, and desires of the Hispanic Community in Jacksonville. The main purpose of the Board is to advocate on behalf of the Hispanic American Community and to provide a means by which the City may obtain information, guidance and advice on the issues facing the Hispanic American Community. In addition, the board may conduct comprehensive studies relating to its citizens of Hispanic descent. The Board meets once per month.

Our Founders

Special thank you to our founders, Tomas A. Jimenez, Sr. and Former Mayor John Delaney.
