The Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Advisory Committee, also known as Duval Prepares, will convene on January 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the availability of the Hazard Mitigation Grant funds related to Hurricane Irma (DR4337) and to review existing projects within the Local Mitigation Strategy. Any outdated projects should be revised or deleted from the plan.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are one win away from becoming AFC conference champions and heading to Super Bowl LII. Jacksonville Jaguars fans are invited to rally behind the home team once again for a celebration of the Jaguars’ continued success, and to share their team spirit in a show of support ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots. From 3 p.m. – 4 p.m., fans can stop by City Hall to celebrate with Mayor Lenny Curry, City Council members, Jaxson de Ville, THE ROAR of the Jaguars and Jax Pack. All citizens are encouraged to wear Jaguars gear Friday to demonstrate their pride and support for our home team.
