Helping more students attend and achieve success in college is the focus of Jacksonville’s third annual Community Education Summit, to be held March 6 at the Downtown Main Library. Hosted by Mayor Alvin Brown, the summit will feature keynote speaker Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski, III, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, since 1992 and a national leader on promoting minority students' success in math and science.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m., and the summit will begin at 8:30 a.m. The summit is free, however space is limited and participants are asked to register at
