Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Nikolai P. Vitti will showcase the ATOSS program to highlight the successful efforts it has made in providing an alternative to out-of-school suspensions by providing a place where students are given the opportunity and resources to continue the learning process in a safe, structured and supervised environment.

Jacksonville Public Library Director Barbara Gubbin will share how the L.E.A.P. program and its outreach efforts will work to increase literacy in the urban core for children and adults.

The Jacksonville Journey initiative brought together a talented and diverse group of community leaders, law enforcement, educators and community stakeholders to recommend action steps to end violence and move Jacksonville in a direction toward prosperity and peace.
