FDOT Public Meeting on Hart-Talleyrand Expressway
March 14, 2019
4:00 p.m.
FDOT Urban Office Training Center
2198 Edison Avenue
Jacksonville, FL 3220
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting for citizens to review and comment on proposed improvements to the Hart/Talleyrand Expressway in downtown Jacksonville. The meeting is being held in cooperation with the City of Jacksonville Thursday, March 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the FDOT Urban Office Training Center, 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204.
FDOT is conducting a study on the Hart Bridge ramps to Liberty Street. The existing configuration requires drivers to travel on elevated ramps to access or exit the Hart Bridge. The project proposes the demolition of the ramp from west of A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard to east of Festival Park Avenue and construction of a new configuration that diverts traffic from the elevated expressway to street level, providing direct access to the Sports and Entertainment Complex, the Talleyrand port area and Metropolitan Park.
Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Brittany Chastain at (386) 961-7520 at least seven days prior to the meeting.
