Mayor Alvin Brown, education stakeholders and community leaders will attend the opening of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund’s traveling exhibit “ONE in THREE: Let’s Solve our Dropout Crisis.” Mayor Brown is pleased to host this significant exhibit at City Hall, as part of his continuing focus on improving public education in Jacksonville.
A project of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, this powerful art exhibition features 10 current and former Duval County Public School students who have overcome immense obstacles to their education through community support.
The exhibit is designed to spark participation in the ONE by ONE initiative, a project of the nonprofit Jacksonville Public Education Fund, which is currently rallying local citizens to create a vision and action plan for public education through small group conversations all over the city. So far, more than 1,400 people have participated in these conversations. For more information, please visit www.jaxpef.org.
