Need a summer job? Training is available NOW to recertify lifeguards and for new lifeguards!
Join JaxParks Aquatics in becoming a lifeguard this summer. Whether your last certification is eligible to be recertified or whether you are interested in a new opportunity to be a lifeguard, there is training for you. The recertification course is for returning guards whose certification is about to expire. The full course, is a week long course with all instruction on site. This is for new guards that have never been certified or guards whose certification is expired. The hybrid course is the same as the full course however the guards would do classroom work online and only report to the pool for the in water portion of the training.
Class sizes are limited due to COVID-19 precautions, please do not wait to sign up. Walk ups will not be accepted. Additional classes may be added, please check the JAXPARKS Facebook page for updates.

April 5 – 9: Thomas Jefferson, 3:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
April 12th- 16th: Charles Clark, 3:30pm – 9:00pm
April 12th- 16th: Cecil, 3:30pm – 9:00pm
April 19th – 23rd: Julius Guinyard, 3:30pm – 9:00pm
May 3rd – 7th: Woodland Acres, 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Recertification
April 3: Woodland Acres, 10a.m. - 3 p.m.
April 17: Emmett Reed, 10a.m. - 3 p.m.
May 1: Charles Clark I 10a.m. - 3 p.m
Hybrid class
May 8 – 9: Pine Forest, Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
