Senior Games Opening Ceremony

Some of Jacksonville’s most active senior citizens will celebrate the beginning of the 2019 Senior Games, a series of athletic competitions and games hosted by the Senior Services Division, with an opening ceremony in Hemming Park at 11 a.m.
From Sept. 27 - Oct. 5, residents ages 50 and older can participate in a variety of activities including swimming, power lifting, table tennis, golf, line dancing, track and field and much more. Athletes of all levels are invited to participate. A full list of events is available at
