The
Mayor’s Victim Assistance Advisory Council (VAAC) invites local students to apply for the Survivor Scholarship, a program created to assist Jacksonville residents who have been impacted by violent crime, either as a primary or secondary survivor. The deadline for submission is Friday, Feb. 1.
Additionally, VAAC is accepting nominations for its Victims’’ Rights Awards, which honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions as advocates for victims of crime and their rights. Winners will be announced during the annual Victims’ Rights Week Luncheon in early April. The deadline for submission is Friday, Feb. 8.
