Local Attorney Identified to Serve on JEA Board

Board Vacancies Completed with Howard’s Appointment

Mayor Lenny Curry recently announced the appointment of G. Alan Howard to the JEA Board.
Founder and President of Milam Howard Nicandri Dees & Gillam, P.A, Howard is a transactional attorney whose practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, project and corporate finance, and securities. Prior to the establishment of his firm in 2000, Howard served in counsel leadership capacities at Akerman Senterfitt & Eidson, and HomeSide Lending Inc. He is rated “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell and has earned recognition as a Super Lawyer and member of the Florida Legal Elite.
 
“The JEA Board will benefit greatly from Mr. Howard’s experience,” said Mayor Curry. “I am incredibly pleased that he has agreed to serve the city with his leadership and knowledge.”
 
A University of Georgia graduate, Howard is a member of the American Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association and The Florida Bar, where he serves as chair of the Business Law Section. Although a native of St. Simons Island, Georgia, he has lived in Jacksonville for more than 20 years and been active in the community. For nearly 10 years, he served on the board of trustees for the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville and spent the last four years as its chairman.
