The City of Jacksonville will host the annual Georgia-Florida football game on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m. at EverBank Field where the University of Georgia will take home field against the University of Florida.
“Our city has been the home of this historic rivalry since 1933,” said Mayor Lenny Curry. “It’s more than just a game; it’s a long-standing Jacksonville tradition that serves fans near and far. It’s roots run deep throughout this community and holds a special place in the hearts of many Jacksonville residents."
In addition to the game, the weekend will include events and activities such as the 21
st Annual Merrill Lynch/Bank of America Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame Luncheon presented by Ruth’s Chris Steak House; RV City; the Georgia-Florida Tailgate Party presented by Cheney Brothers; a Friday night concert featuring the Avett Brothers; and the Georgia-Florida Fan Experience, an interactive game day fan experience featuring SEC Nation with hosts Maria Taylor, Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears and ESPN radio’s Paul Finebaum.
The City of Jacksonville will host six Sideline Safety Zones in the Sports Complex and throughout downtown Jacksonville. The Sideline Safety Zones will provide free assistance ranging from first aid, transportation, direction, telephone service, cell phone charging stations, food, water, and more. Heavy traffic is expected on game day and fans are strongly encouraged to arrive five hours early. In addition, fans should consider using transportation alternatives such as the JTA Gameday Xpress. Information regarding Gameday Xpress locations and shuttle stops can be found on
