The kick-off event will begin at 9 a.m. at Balis Community Center (1513 Lasalle St. – 32207).

Participants in this year’s high-tech treasure hunt will have the opportunity to find hidden caches in many of the featured parks and landmarks throughout the city.

The first 150 participants to complete the challenge will receive a newly designed geocoin; those who can’t attend the event can find the GPS coordinates at geocaching.com starting Sept. 1.
