Citizens needing assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma can visit a City of Jacksonville Disaster Registration site taking place at the Main Library (303 N. Laura St. – 32202), Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Thursday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The site will help people affected by the hurricane learn what resources are available to them and sign up for assistance. The effort is a collaboration between the City of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Public Library, FEMA, and the United Way of Northeast Florida. Additionally, FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance teams will continue to travel throughout disaster-affected neighborhoods to ensure Jacksonville residents know how to register for FEMA assistance. Residents are encouraged to visit
disasterassistance.gov or call 1-(800)-621-FEMA for more information on federal relief.
