The City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Preparedness Division is thrilled to announce the inaugural JaxReady Fest, an interactive preparedness experience aimed at empowering residents with the knowledge and resources to stay safe and resilient in the face of all hazards that threaten our community.
Scheduled for May 10th and 11th, JaxReady Fest will take place at the Prime Osborn Convention Center and will be open from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday. This free community event will feature a wide range of engaging activities, educational workshops, and interactive demonstrations, making it the ultimate destination for individuals, families, and businesses seeking to enhance their preparedness.
At JaxReady Fest, attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Engage with over sixty partner agencies and experts, gaining insights into their vital roles within the community.
- Participate in hands-on demonstrations, learning essential skills
- Explore interactive exhibits featuring emergency communication technologies and disaster response equipment.
- Attend informative workshops covering topics such as severe weather safety, Narcan administration, and home emergency planning.
- Engage in fun activities for all ages, including scavenger hunts, preparedness games, and giveaways.
