City of Jacksonville Prepare for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival

The 2017 Jacksonville Jazz Festival kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, May 25 and will continue through the Memorial Day weekend. The festival will feature more than 40 performers, three stages, and a vibrant street festival atmosphere.
The Jacksonville Jazz Festival event footprint will include the Swingin’ Stage presented by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) at the corner of Main and West Adams streets; the Groovin’ Stage presented by Aetna at Hemming Park; and the Breezin’ Stage at the Jacksonville Landing. Performances on all three stages will begin on Friday, May 26.
 
The Jacksonville Jazz Festival hours are as follows:
  • Thursday, May 25: 6 – 10 p.m. (Piano Competition Only)
  • Friday, May 26: 4 p.m. – midnight
  • Saturday, May 27: 1 p.m. – midnight
  • Sunday, May 28: 1 – 11 p.m.
Street closures will begin Wednesday, May 24 and will continue through Monday, May 29 at 5 p.m. Closures include:
  • Duval Street closure from Hogan Street to Laura Street
  • Adams Street closure from Hogan Street to Ocean Street
  • Laura Street closure from Church Street to Bay Street
  • Closure of east lane only of Hogan Street from Monroe Street to Duval Street
  • Monroe Street from Hogan Street to Main Street
  • Duval Street closure from Main Street to Ocean Street
  • Monroe Street closure from Main Street to Ocean Street
  • Main Street closure from Church Street to Forsyth Street
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) will operate the Skyway extended days and hours for the 2017 Jazz Festival. Skyway service is free. The schedule is as follows:
  • Friday, May 26: 6 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, May 27: 11 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.
  • Sunday, May 28: 11 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.
  • Monday, May 29: Closed for Memorial Day
