A Jacksonville holiday tradition is making its return to Thanksgiving weekend. The City of Jacksonville is excited to announce the annual Jacksonville Light Boat Parade on Nov. 28, 2020. The parade will feature guest judges and will wrap up with one of the best fireworks presentations featuring “waterfalls” off of the Main Street and Acosta Bridges.
“The Jacksonville Light Boat Parade is a holiday tradition that we’ve been grateful to produce for over 30 years here in the City of Jacksonville,” said Mayor Lenny Curry. “We welcome boats of all different shapes and sizes and can’t wait to see you all out on the water or as guests on the Riverwalk.”
The Jacksonville Light Boat Parade vessels will float along the St. Johns River beginning at 6:00 p.m. Spectators can view the parade from the North and Southbank Riverwalks, including Riverfront Plaza and Friendship Fountain. The parade’s lineup of guest judges includes our very own City Council Member Al Ferraro, VyStar Credit Union Vice President of Community Engagement & Sponsorships Amanda Crawford, and First Coast News Anchor Lew Turner. The event will end with an incredible fireworks display featuring “waterfalls” off the Main Street and Acosta Bridges at approximately 8:00 p.m.
