An international recruiting services firm filed plans this week to open a global service center in Jacksonville – a project finalized last month on a city economic development mission to London. Resource Solutions filed plans with the Jacksonville City Council that will add 75 skilled jobs to the city. The project is subject to approval of state and local incentives.

"I could not be more excited to welcome Resource Solutions to Jacksonville," said Mayor Lenny Curry. "During our recent visit to London, we were afforded the opportunity to present Jacksonville as a city committed to increased economic development opportunities, improved quality of life for citizens, and a skilled and talented workforce. Their selection of our city as the newest addition to their global footprint strengthens Jacksonville's position as a global destination for international business expansion."

Resource Solutions provides recruitment outsourcing solutions for many of the world’s leading brands and looks to grow its operations in the United States. The Global Service Center (GSC) in Jacksonville would serve the U.S. market and, as the market share in the U.S. grows, so will the Jacksonville operations.

“These are extraordinarily exciting times for Resource Solutions as the rapid expansion of our business continues,” said Janine Chidlow, Managing Director – EMEA, Americas at Resource Solutions. “We have been impressed by the proactive approach taken by the mayor and the JAX Chamber to bring new businesses into Jacksonville, and we are confident we will find the skilled and dedicated recruitment professionals we need to make our North American GSC a success and maintain our focus on quality.”

A Jacksonville delegation, including Mayor Curry, City Council President Greg Anderson and leaders from the business community, traveled to London last month – the third trip in conjunction with a Jacksonville Jaguars home game in London. The delegation met with several companies including Resource Solutions, and an agreement was reached.

“These are the types of projects we can attract to Jacksonville when we make a concerted effort to call on international companies and talk to them about the wide open opportunities and global economy in Jacksonville,” said JAX Chamber Chair-Elect Audrey Moran. “This is an important announcement for Jacksonville and I look forward to more announcements from our London trip in the coming months.”

Resource Solutions has operations in 24 countries with Global Service Centers in Johannesburg, South Africa, Manchester UK and Hyderabad, India.
