October 18-24, 2020 is the 15th annual National Friends of Libraries Week (
view the proclamation here). Established in 1956, the Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library was created to encourage the support of libraries, increase awareness of public libraries in the community, and raise funds to enhance library services for the good of the public library system and the community.
Through fundraising and awareness campaigns, they strive to make the Jacksonville Public Library the best it can be for our community.
The Friends are always looking for new members and volunteers. It’s easy to join, just email
FJPLPresident@gmail.com, call (904) 255-6002, or visit
www.fjpl.org. Joining the Friends of the Library is a terrific way to make new friends of your own, and give back to our community and make its library even better.
