Celebrate the Holidays at Artwalk and City Hall Open House

This Wednesday - December 4, 2019 - downtown will become the destination for holiday fun during December’s Art Walk. Attendees can celebrate the season by caroling with the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus, visiting the North Pole Snow Zone, making holiday cards at the Main Library and much more. The entertainment starts at 5 p.m. along Laura Street.
Along with the monthly art and culture exhibition, the City of Jacksonville will host its annual Holiday Open House event from 5 - 7 p.m. in the St. James Building (117 W. Duval St. – 32202). Activities will include meet and greets with Mayor Curry and other government officials, festive games and more. Additionally, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held in Hemming Park at 6:25 p.m.; this year’s tree, which stands at 56 feet tall, and features 78,000 LED lights and 150 ornaments, was donated by the Sleiman family in honor of Eli Sr. and Josephine Sleiman.
