Join the City of Jacksonville as we celebrate the nation's independence with the annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration. The spectacular fireworks display over the downtown riverfront and will begin at 9:45 p.m.
This year fireworks will be launched from a barge on the St. Johns River between the Hyatt and Double Tree hotels and high above the St. Johns River from the Acosta Bridge. These locations are able to be viewed from both the North and South banks in Downtown Jacksonville in addition to viewing from the Brooklyn area and under the Fuller Warren Bridge in the Riverside Arts Market venue. The exterior common areas of The Jacksonville Landing including the courtyard and the Riverwalk will available to spectators as well. The fireworks can also be viewed on WJXT Channel 4.
The City of Jacksonville and Cox Media will provide official audio at Friendship Fountain Park, at the gazebos along the river at Hogan Street and Coastline Driver, the Tillie Fowler Memorial, and beneath the Fuller Warren Bridge at the Riverside Arts Market. Spectators can also tune to Easy 102.9 to listen to the official audio during the show.
The eastern most northbound lane on the Acosta Bridge will close at 1 p.m. on July 4. The Acosta Bridge will fully close at 9:15 p.m. and will open once all firework trailers and debris are cleared. The Main Street Bridge will close at 9:30 p.m. until show is over, approximately 10:15 p.m. All other bridges will be open.
