The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful will partner with Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5^th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday.

In observance of Juneteenth, the following City government offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, June 19, 2023. 

Jacksonville’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will return this year at multiple locations around the city to celebrate our nation’s independence. At each location, the City of Jacksonville is offering a spectacular fireworks display.

Grant Dollars to Support Base Infrastructure and Advocacy Efforts 

This Memorial Day weekend The City of Jacksonville Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) will open 20 community pools beginning on Saturday, May 27th. Cecil Aquatics is open year-round. Outdoor pools will be open Saturday, May 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs announced Wednesday that the schools have exercised the option to play their annual rivalry game in Jacksonville during the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Andre Ayoub to Lead Duval County Emergency Management

The North Florida TPO is assisting the City of Jacksonville with a study of Rogero Road from Merrill Road to the Arlington Expressway. The study will recommend ways to create a better and safer walking and bicycling experience.

The “Feet on the Street” Cart-Tagging Campaign is part of The Recycling Partnership’s $560,000 Grant to Improve Recycling in Jacksonville.
