In order to achieve this we are committed to staffing our office with the finest attorneys. The Office of General Counsel does not hire lawyers directly upon graduation from law school, but only hires attorneys who have demonstrated proficiency in specific areas of the law. In addition to proficiency in specific practice areas, we are looking for lawyers with strong academic backgrounds, private or governmental practice backgrounds in their practice areas, or other diverse experience. Many of our attorneys previously practiced for large national or regional law firms before joining our office.
