Katy A. Harris joined the Office of General Counsel in November 2012. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Ms. Harris worked at the Office of the Public Defender supervising four attorneys in the Circuit Court Criminal division and served in the Juvenile Division, County and Circuit Courts. Ms. Harris also worked at the Fraternal Order of Police providing legal counsel on matters concerning grievances and internal investigations. She provided legal counseling to police officers concerning their actions performed while on duty.

Ms. Harris received a Bachelor of Science Degree, from Louisiana State University in 1997. She obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2000.

Ms. Harris is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida.
